You’re invited to enter our competition to create your own cocktail to be added to our January menu.

You can submit your entries at the bar until December 30, 2015 to be in with a chance of seeing your concoction on the cocktail list in January 2016.

We thought it would be great fun to hold a competition for our customers to create their own winter cocktail.

The winner of the competition, which will be judged by Aaron Hibbert, our General Manager and top mixologist, on January 2, will have their creation added to our menu during January.

And for every one of their cocktails we sell, we will donate £1 to a charity of the winner’s choice. They will also be invited to come in and have the very first one we make on the house at a mutually agreeable time in early January.

Anyone wishing to enter the competition should drop in at the bar and pick up an entry form. You will be asked to give your cocktail a name and also include any instructions for making the drink, as well as a list of ingredients.

The only condition is that we must stock the ingredients behind our bar. Other than that, we are asking entrants to be as inventive as possible.

Need some top tips? We run our own cocktail masterclasses, which can be booked by groups of friends and work colleagues in the run up to Christmas and the New Year.

During our classes our expert mixologists will teach you the skills, the tips and the tricks used by professional bartenders every day. It’s a fun and interactive class where the bar masters will demonstrate a variety of popular, classic and contemporary cocktails.

Coming in for one of our masterclasses would be a great way of getting some insider knowledge on how to create your own winning cocktail.

Booking for the Cocktail Masterclasses, which cost £25 per head, is essential, please pop in, we’re opposite the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Millbrook, or call us on 01483 536222. You can also find us on social media.

We’re very keen on our cocktails here so will be really interested to see what people can create themselves and how they personalise their cocktail.
